Warehouse Team Leader | Ayrshire | Competitive
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Warehouse Team Leader to join a fast-paced FMCG production environment. This is a key leadership role responsible for ensuring the efficient control and supply of materials to support continuous, high-volume operations.
This position is ideal for a hands-on leader who thrives under pressure and has a strong background in warehouse operations, stock control, and team development.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and promote a strong Health & Safety culture across the warehouse operation
- Manage all aspects of dry goods/materials storage and supply, ensuring high stock accuracy
- Ensure materials are supplied to production lines on time and in full to meet daily plans
- Monitor stock levels, investigate discrepancies, and escalate potential risks
- Maintain high standards of quality, hygiene, and food safety compliance
- Supervise, coach, and develop a team to drive performance and accountability
- Support and implement continuous improvement initiatives across the department
- Ensure all SOPs, risk assessments, and training records are up to date
- Work closely with internal stakeholders to support operational efficiency
- Lead change initiatives and support wider business improvement projects
- Ensure recycling and environmental compliance standards are met
Candidate Requirements
- Previous experience in a warehouse or materials management role within FMCG
- Strong knowledge of stock control processes and WMS systems
- Proven experience leading teams in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management ability
- High attention to detail with a focus on compliance and process
- Ability to work under pressure and manage competing priorities
- A proactive approach to continuous improvement
