Vatting Operator - Perthshire -  £29K

What the day to day could look like?

  • Following a manual process with excellent attention to detail
  • Carrying out reductions, quality checks, blends, additions and any other spirit-based processes
  • Loading and unloading bulk tankers
  • Operating complex machinery safely and in accordance with work instructions
  • Adhering to SOPs, understanding customer specs
  • Checking spirit strength, tint and availability to meet spirit plans and with an understanding of bottling requirements
  • Filing and updating paperwork accurately
  • Doing mathematical calculations relating to spirit preparation
  • Escalating any issues to management
  • Liaising with other departments, in particular production

Are you who we’re looking for?

  • You have excellent attention to detail and are extremely accurate
  • You have previous experience in a process-type environment
  • You have prior working experience in an FMCG environment (Food, drinks, packaging)
  • You can cop cope with a hectic schedule and thrive when busy and under pressure
  • You are happy to assist with other areas of the business as needed
  • You have high expectations when it comes to H&S, Quality and any other regulatory standard
  • You are a confident communicator and are equally comfortable working autonomously or as part of a team.
