Job Title: Temporary PVG Chef/Cook - Edinburgh and Surrounding Areas

Are you who we're looking for?
We are seeking a Temporary PVG Chef/Cook with the following attributes:
- Mandatory PVG Certification: A valid PVG (Protecting Vulnerable Groups) certification is essential. If you don't have one or need an update, don't worry – we cover the cost! HRC Recruitment will cover the cost of updating your PVG.
- Culinary Experience: Previous experience as a Chef or Cook, preferably in healthcare or social care settings.
- Creativity: A flair for creating appetising and wholesome meals.
- Communication Skills: Effective communication to collaborate with the care team.
- Adaptability: Flexibility to meet the dynamic needs of temporary meal preparation.
- Passion for Care: A commitment to providing nourishing meals for a positive impact on resident's lives.
What does the day to day look like?
As a Temporary PVG Chef/Cook, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Culinary Excellence: Preparing and cooking meals that meet dietary requirements and safety standards.
- Collaborative Work: Working closely with care staff to ensure resident's dietary needs are met.
- Safety Protocols: Adhering to established food safety and hygiene regulations.
- Record Keeping: Maintaining accurate records of food preparation and minimising wastage.
- Team Collaboration: Participating in team meetings to discuss temporary meal plans and requirements.
