Tax Administrator - Edinburgh - Salary up to £23,000

Are you a strong administrator with tax or legal experience? Do you want to join a collaborative team? Are you looking for a new opportunity to join a leading firm in Edinburgh?

We are keen to speak to experienced administrators from either a tax or legal background, who are looking for their next challenge in Edinburgh. You will be responsible for providing administrative support to the Tax Team, as well as assisting with any compliance requirements, working with a varied client portfolio. Ideally, you will have a strong attention to detail, strong time management and the ability to work well individually to complete a variety of tasks daily. You will join an established team within a growing firm, based in the heart of Edinburgh.

This is a full-time, permanent role working Monday-Friday 9am-5pm. The salary for the role is up to £23,000p/a DOE. This role will initially be office-based, with the possibility of hybrid in the future.

Are you who we're looking for?

  • You have experience within a Tax Admin or Legal Admin role 
  • You are highly motivated and committed to delivering excellent service levels to clients 
  • You have strong attention to detail 
  • You enjoy building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders 
  • You can manage your time and diary effectively and prioritise your workload
  • You have excellent interpersonal skills
  • You are proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications
  • You have strong administrative experience 

What is the day to day like?

  • Working closely with various team members on client matters, providing administrative support and assistance
  • Collating information for the submission of compliance forms 
  • Reviewing and updating HMRC databases and records
  • Arranging payment of tax liabilities with support from the in-house finance team
  • Acknowledging client correspondence 
  • Scanning and filing documents, assisting with all general administrative duties daily 
  • Supporting fee-earners when generating and delivering client work
  • Completing the performance review process and undertaking any training and development 
  • Following all firm policies and procedures including financial policies, GDPR and AML Compliance
