The role: We are looking for a hard-working and reliable operator, ideally with experience in the spirits industry, to play a dual role working across our busy tank farm and cask warehousing operations. To be successful here, you'll be a self starter, very accurate and organised, and be comfortable working with your hands and with high value spirit.
What the day to day could look like:
- Complying with Health and Safety standards
- Cask filling, disgorging and despatching – in line with production and customer requirements
- Working with Bulk tankers - loading and unloading
- Using production recording and stock reporting systems e.g. DRAMS
- Completing administration of despatch and export tanker documentation
- Potentially acting as a relief operator in the distillery
- Additional responsibilities in line with competency and desire
Are you who we're looking for?
- You are flexible, willing to learn and have excellent attention to detail
- You are able to work under your own initiative and support problem solving
- Ideally, you have previous experience in a similar role within the whisky and/or spirits industry
- You hold a full clean UK driving licence and previous fork lift truck experience would be advantageous although not essential (training can be provided)
- You are computer literate and have experience using Excel, Word
- You are knowledgeable of recording production data
