Systems Accountant

An exciting opportunity has just come on to the market to work for a well-known organisation based in Glasgow. They currently have a requirement for a Systems Accountant who has significant experience to join their team on an initial 18mth FTC.

You will be responsible for the following duties:

• Provide systems support for finance users
• Perform detailed analysis of database tables to understand and reconcile financial outcomes
• Assist with developing and running test programs in relation to specific systems and projects
• Drive through continued improvement and development of finance systems and processes
• Understand data conversion processes and be able to reconcile transactions converted between different systems
• Gather and document financial reporting requirements
• Prepare appropriate documentation and support materials in relation to specific projects and system configuration
• Work closely with 3^rd party and internal suppliers to communicate requirements and delivery solutions

Key Competencies/Skills or required equivalent experience include:

• Systems accounting experience
• Sage experience
• Accounting Qualification
• Ability to learn and understand current business processes and help model new processes/procedures.
• Excellent analytical skills
• Project Management skills
• Good knowledge of testing approaches/methods and experience of devising and running testing procedures
• Produce high level solutions requiring systems analysis and design skills
• Proven track record delivering process improvement initiatives
• Full project life cycle experience
• Able to manage small projects from inception to delivery
• Excellent communication skills
