Stock Reconciliations Supervisor - Glasgow - Highly competitive salary

Experience needed for the Stock Reconciliations Supervisor role:

  • Support line manager in optimising team performance through provision of ongoing, regular performance feedback to team members on both productivity and accuracy
  • Responsible for supervising and motivating a team of 10 people to deliver key services to clients
  • Ensure the timely and accurate reconciliation and break resolution on a monthly cycle
  • Ensure all client deliverables and targets are met and ensure communication with the client is effective
  • Raising and responding to client queries/issues in a timely manner
  • Develop and maintain positive and constructive working relationships with other teams and various internal stakeholders
  • Escalation to line manager/senior management of risks, suspected transactional issues, failures or potential losses
  • Ensure the timely event reporting of breaches and incidents and identification and implementation of preventative measures when issues arise
  • Ensure the team maintains up-to-date, written procedures and controls for existing and new business including implementation of approved procedures and controls in a controlled manner
  • Build up an effective working network of external counterparts at fund managers and TAs
  • Provide help to define operations business needs and requirements, allocate resources and drive new developments and enhancements forward in the area
  • Play a lead role in formulating new procedures and controls for existing and new business
  • Build a team that reinforces the positive and engaged culture at company
  • Ensure staffing levels within the team are adequate to meet the team’s responsibilities, effectively managing annual leave, cross training requirements and recruitment, escalating any resource issues in a timely manner
  • Manage and mentor direct reports, actively engaging with them through team and individual meetings and thestaff performance process
  • Ensure quality in the implementation of system and process improvements within the department and ensure best practice is shared across the site
  • Preparation of management information and reporting to senior management level and perform trend analysis to
  • ensure ongoing learning and continuous improvement plans as appropriate
  • Proactively manage responses to requests and deliverables with internal and external clients and vendors
  • Participate in ad hoc projects as defined by line manager
  • Work closely with other relevant operations managers to ensure that process risks are minimized

Are you this person?

  • BS/BA degree or equivalent combination of education/experience
  • IOC competency preferred or a willingness to work towards the qualification
  • Intermediate level experience in a related role
  • Strong execution capabilities
  • Previous experience in Financial Services
  • Excellent communication, teamwork and team management
