The Opportunity
An established and growing manufacturing business in North Lanarkshire is seeking an experienced Production Manager to join its leadership team.
This is an excellent opportunity to take on a key role within a fast-paced operation, with real responsibility for driving performance, developing teams, and supporting continuous improvement across the site.
The Role
Reporting to the Head of Operations, you will lead the day-to-day manufacturing operation, ensuring production is delivered safely, efficiently, and in line with quality and delivery targets.
You will play a central role on the shop floor, working closely with cross-functional teams to maintain smooth operations while fostering a high-performance, collaborative culture.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage production teams to deliver against operational plans and targets
- Drive performance across KPIs: Safety, Quality, Delivery, Productivity, and Cost
- Monitor daily production output and coordinate effective problem-solving
- Coach and develop supervisors and operators to build team capability
- Ensure compliance with health & safety standards and company policies
- Collaborate with planning, quality, and supply chain teams
- Lead and support continuous improvement initiatives
- Maintain high standards of organisation and operational discipline
- Ensure accurate reporting and effective use of operational systems
About You

You will have:
- Proven experience in a Production Manager or similar role
- Strong leadership and people development skills
- Experience delivering against key operational KPIs
- A hands-on, engaging leadership style
- Experience with continuous improvement / lean manufacturing
- Strong problem-solving and organisational ability
- Confidence using ERP systems and standard business tools (e.g. MS Office)
