Job Title: Plate Waiter
Location: Edinburgh City Centre
Position Overview:
- We are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Plate Waiter to join our team. As a Plate Waiter, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our restaurant by delivering impeccable service to our guests. From assisting with food service to maintaining cleanliness and efficiency, you will contribute to creating an exceptional dining experience for all patrons.
Responsibilities:
- Greet guests warmly and escort them to their tables
- Take orders accurately and relay them to the kitchen staff
- Serve food and beverages promptly and courteously
- Ensure plates are delivered to the correct tables and in a timely manner
- Respond promptly to guest inquiries and requests
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation in the dining area
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient service
- Uphold high standards of professionalism and customer service at all times
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a similar role preferred but not required
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn and grow
- Food safety and hygiene certification is a plus
