£50,000–£63,000 DOE
Edinburgh or Glasgow
Are you an experienced Pensions Administration professional ready to take the next step in your career?
I’m currently recruiting for an exciting Pensions Administration Manager opportunity with a leading pensions and employee benefits consultancy, offering the chance to combine people leadership, client management, technical pensions expertise and commercial responsibility.
The opportunity
This is a key role within a dynamic Third Party Administration (TPA) function, managing a varied portfolio of clients across Defined Benefit (DB), Defined Contribution (DC) and CARE pension arrangements.
You’ll take ownership of client relationships and service delivery while leading and developing administration teams. Working closely with clients, trustees, advisers and internal stakeholders, you’ll play a key role in ensuring high-quality outcomes for both clients and members.
The role would suit someone who enjoys having a broad remit and wants to make a genuine impact across people, clients, operations and commercial performance.
What will you be doing?
• Managing a portfolio of TPA clients and building strong, trusted relationships
• Leading, coaching and developing pensions administration teams
• Overseeing service delivery, quality standards and SLAs
• Managing client projects, annual service plans, scheme events and regulatory changes
• Acting as an escalation point for complex issues and complaints
• Supporting the commercial performance of client accounts, including fee reviews, billing and out-of-scope work
• Supporting proposals, pitches and business development opportunities
• Providing technical guidance on complex pensions administration matters
• Keeping services aligned with legislative and regulatory developments
• Identifying opportunities to improve processes, efficiency and best practice
• Supporting recruitment, coaching and the ongoing development of colleagues
• Working collaboratively with payroll teams and wider stakeholders
• Deputising for senior leadership when required
We're keen to speak with professionals who have:
• Strong experience within UK pensions administration, TPA or a closely related environment
• Experience managing workflows, projects and service delivery
• A good understanding of pensions legislation, regulatory requirements and administration best practice
• Previous experience leading, supporting or developing teams
• Strong client relationship and stakeholder management skills
• Commercial awareness and an understanding of client needs
• Excellent communication and influencing skills
• A collaborative, inclusive and proactive approach
• A genuine interest in developing both yourself and those around you
A professional pensions qualification, or an interest in working towards one such as PMI Associate Membership, would be advantageous.
Don't tick every box? Please don't let that put you off.
The client is open to hearing from candidates who have the majority of the required experience and can demonstrate the ability and willingness to develop further. Relevant UK pensions experience and a strong understanding of the market are highly valued.
What's on offer?
Alongside a competitive salary of £50,000–£63,000, the package includes:
