Part Time Facilities Assistant - Edinburgh - Salary up to £21,000 p/a FTE

Are you an experienced facilities assistant looking for a new challenge? Do you want to work for a leading business in Edinburgh? Are you well organised and able to work well in a fast-paced, professional environment?

We are looking to speak to experienced Facilities Assistants who are looking for a new part-time opportunity in Edinburgh. Ideally, you will ensure all office facilities and processes are managed effectively and efficiently, whilst working individually and as part of a wider team environment. You will be a well-organised, confident communicator who can build key business relationships with internal and external stakeholders daily, whilst completing tasks within set timescales.

This is a part-time, permanent role. Working 20hrs, Monday - Friday 7:30am - 11:30am, with a FTE salary of up to £21,000 p/a DOE. Due to the nature of this position, this role will be office based. 


Are you who we are looking for?

  • You have facilities assistant or reception experience within an office environment 
  • You can work well individually and within a wider team environment
  • You are a confident communicator and enjoy building strong relationships
  • You have a positive attitude and can work alongside colleagues from across the business
  • You can work well under pressure and have a creative approach to problem solving
  • You are well organised and can manage time effectively 
  • You are proficient in the use of Microsoft Packages


What is the day to day like? 

  • Assisting with everyday facilities operations in the office 
  • Setting meeting rooms up, and ensuring all IT equipment is organised 
  • Storing and replenishing supplies, assisting with office space issues, repairs and desk set ups 
  • Ensuring the general maintenance of the office and other appliances
  • Setting up offices/desks for new joiners and visitors
  • Ensuring all print bays are kept tidy and well stocked 
  • Assisting in the print and mailroom when required
  • Completing other duties as required
