Electrical and Mechanical Overhaul Fitter
A leading rolling stock engineering company is recruiting an Electrical and Mechanical Overhaul Fitter to provide mechanical services on rail vehicles and rolling stock.
You will be responsible for:
- Stripping and building safety critical components per technical drawings
- Fault finding and repairing electrical/mechanical parts
- Door gear overhaul and testing
- Working in a team to complete paperwork and work instructions
- Complying with all company policies and safety requirements
- Interpreting engineering drawings and specs accurately
- Supporting relationships with colleagues, customers, and partners
The ideal candidate will have:
- Engineering background with overhaul/refurbishment experience
- Ability to accurately document work done
- Knowledge of tools, equipment, and safety protocols
- Understanding of health and safety guidelines
- Experience with mechanical mods on rail vehicles (preferred)
- Ability to read engineering drawings (preferred)
- Strong attention to detail
