Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and versatile Multi-Skilled Engineer to join our client’s dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and improving our production equipment, ensuring minimal downtime, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives. This role requires a hands-on approach, strong problem-solving skills, and a proactive attitude towards maintenance and repairs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform scheduled preventative maintenance and reactive repairs on a wide range of dairy production equipment.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and control system issues.
  • Implement continuous improvement projects to enhance equipment efficiency and reliability.
  • Collaborate with production and quality teams to ensure equipment meets operational and safety standards.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and parts inventory.
  • Provide technical support and training to production staff.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Proven experience in a similar multi-skilled engineering role, preferably within the food and drinks industry.
  • Strong mechanical and electrical engineering skills.
  • Knowledge of PLCs, control systems, and automation.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manuals.
  • Excellent problem-solving and diagnostic abilities.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Relevant engineering qualifications (HND, HNC, or equivalent).
