HRC are recruiting a Maintenance Technician for a leading manufacturer based in the Glasgow area.
You will work in conjunction with the Technical Service Manager and the maintenance team to ensure the smooth running of the site services.
Key skills required for the role
- Prior experience in a maintenance role
- Electrical bias
- Experience 17th Edition wiring regulations
- Ability to build strong relationships with internal and external suppliers
- Ability to quickly recognise where issues need to be escalated
- Excellent communication skills
Your main duties will include
- Maintain distribution centre machinery – sorters, conveyor systems, packing machines etc
- Continued improvement to distribution centre machinery and site plant
- Electrical system and safe isolation compliance
- 17th Edition compliance
- Adhere to onsite Health and safety processes
- Carry out PPM’s on machinery within the timescale
- Can read and interpret technical electrical drawings
- Identify and pursue cost improvement opportunities
- Ability to support wider site service maintenance and reactive repair delivery outside core skill set.
