What the day to day could look like:
- Partnering with key operational leaders to ensure Health & Safety is integrated into all aspects of the business
- Implementing a comprehensive Health & Safety programme focusing on engagement
- Providing guidance and leadership for operational teams ensuring they are equipped with the skills and knowledge needed to succeed
- Conducting regular audits and reviews of HS policies and procedures to identify areas for improvement
- Developing and delivering practical and engaging training and coaching
- Acting as the point of contact for external contacts on HS topics
- Investigating and implementing corrective actions for HS incidents
- Improving communication around HS management system requirements in an easy to understand manner
- Coaching, leading, encouraging and supporting the team of HS representatives
- Supporting, developing, reviewing and actioning Risk Assessments
- Using the TRACC methodology to apply Continuous Improvement principles
Are you who we’re looking for?
- You are degree educated ideally, in a Health and Safety related discipline
- You possess a NEBOSH diploma or equivalent
- You have prior experience working in a busy production or FMCG environment
- You have a modern approach to HS principles i.e. Human & Organisational performance (HOP), Safety Differently, Human Factors and Behavioural Science etc
- You have IOSH membership at least to CertIOSH level
- You are experienced with at least 3 years under your belt in a HSE capacity
- You preferably have experience working on a COMAH site
- You have an inclusive and collaborative approach and are able to win hearts and minds
- You are knowledgeable of dealing with regulatory bodies such as SEPA, HSE etc
- You have experience of working in a Matrix organisation
- You are tough on standards and are able to drive first class cultural principles
