Field Service Engineer - Renfrewshire 

As a global frontrunner in crafting and manufacturing equipment aimed at enhancing yields by minimizing defects and waste, they are thrilled to offer a dynamic role for a Field Service Engineer to become part of their team, contributing to the evolution of their sector. The position is stationed at their Glasgow site, involving scheduled visits to clients across the UK and Europe.

Are you who we’re looking for?

  • Minimum 1 years’ experience as a Field Service Engineer
  • HNC in Mechanical and / or Electrical Engineering
  • Keen to learn about new technologies
  • Good attention to detail, decision making and problem-solving skills
  • Enjoys fault finding and suggesting and implementing improvements
  • Ability to communicate with personnel at all levels of the business
  • Able to use own initiative with the ability to work on their own and as part of a team
  • This is a Customer facing role, you will have an open and friendly nature
  • Computer literate with a good knowledge of Microsoft packages including Word, Excel and Outlook

What does the day-to-day look like?

  • This is a Customer facing role attending sites in the UK and Europe
  • Conduct field service visits to install, service, and repair 
  • Ensure that service calls are resolved promptly and in full
  • Provide on site equipment training to colleagues and customers
  • Provide part quotes
  • Responding to customer technical queries by phone, email, etc
  • Accompany the Head of Customer Experience and Regional Sales Manager to customer visits
