Electrical Engineer
Location: Glasgow, Salary: Competitive
We’re currently recruiting for an experienced Electrical Engineer to join a specialist engineering organisation working across the marine and defence sectors.
This is a varied role covering new product design, development and through-life engineering support, giving you the opportunity to work on technically challenging products from initial design through to testing, certification and field support.
Key Responsibilities
- Electrical and electronics design for new and existing products.
- Producing engineering calculations, drawings and technical documentation.
- Component selection, BOMs and engineering specifications.
- Checking drawings and documentation for technical compliance.
- Supporting testing, manufacture, installation and commissioning.
- Working closely with Engineering, Production, Sales, Procurement and Service teams.
- Providing technical solutions to customer and project requirements.
About You
- Electrical/Electronics Engineering degree or equivalent experience.
- Proven electrical design experience.
- Experience with CAD/design software and engineering calculations.
- Product design experience, ideally involving DC systems.
- Experience within marine, defence or another highly regulated engineering environment.
- Knowledge of relevant standards and regulations.
- Experience with LR and/or DNV would be highly advantageous.
- Strong communication, organisation and problem-solving skills.
