Are you an experienced electrical engineer looking for a challenging and rewarding role in a dynamic manufacturing environment? Look no further! We are seeking a talented individual to join our team in Ayrshire as an Electrical Engineer.

About the Role

As an Electrical Engineer, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of our electrical systems and equipment. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Performing preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical equipment and systems
  • Troubleshooting and diagnosing complex electrical issues related to machinery and production lines
  • Collaborating closely with the production team to minimize downtime and ensure optimal performance
  • Participating in daily technical operations reviews, providing valuable electrical input
  • Effective time management and prioritization of electrical tasks to meet agreed timescales
  • Investigating root causes of electrical issues and implementing corrective or preventive actions
  • Monitoring machine and line performance post-electrical maintenance activities
  • Providing overtime cover for production or electrical maintenance activities as needed
  • Assisting with electrical aspects of projects and issues affecting line performance
  • Willingness to work closely with the multi-disciplined Engineering Team

What We're Looking For

  • Completion of a time-served electrical engineering apprenticeship
  • Proven experience in an electrical maintenance role in a manufacturing or industrial environment
  • Strong understanding of electrical systems, controls, and instrumentation
  • Ability to adopt a flexible and reactive approach to electrical breakdowns and maintenance
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to working within current Health and Safety guidelines
  • Excellent troubleshooting, problem-solving, and analytical skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Desire for continuous learning and professional development
