Job Title: Customer Co-Ordinator

About the Role
My client is an independent, family-owned Scotch whisky company based in Glasgow. Renowned for its commitment to quality, innovation, and authenticity, they specialises in crafting and bottling some of the finest Scotch whiskies.
With a rich heritage spanning over 75 years, the company continues to celebrate the artistry of whisky making, maintaining strong relationships with distilleries across Scotland and exporting to markets around the world.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage customer orders from receipt through to delivery, ensuring all shipments are completed on time, in full, and to a high standard.
- Maintain and develop relationships with key freight forwarders and warehouse partners to ensure cost-effective and efficient shipping solutions.
- Work closely with production to move products efficiently under bond and meet customer deadlines.
- Liaise with commercial and marketing teams to coordinate product and promotional material availability for tastings and events.
- Respond to customer enquiries and complaints promptly, maintaining a professional and solution-focused approach.
- Complete and maintain all reporting requirements within agreed timescales, including stock levels, sales forecasts, and order tracking.
- Support sales activities by following up on price lists, encouraging new orders, and monitoring overdue payments.
- Take ownership of finished goods across dispatch sites, highlighting customer bottlings, slow-moving stock, and split cases.
- Participate in quarterly business review (QBR) meetings to strengthen customer relationships.
- Maintain an up-to-date and accurate customer contact database across logistics, finance, and operations.
Experience and Qualifications
- Graduate calibre – ideally with a business, supply chain, or related degree.
- Around 2 years’ experience in export, customs, or order management preferred.
- Strong systems literacy, with proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook).
- Experience with ERP systems and process development is an advantage.
