Job Title: Chef de Partie

Location: Edinburgh, Scotland

Rate of pay: £12- £14ph + holiday pay

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and execute culinary dishes to the highest standards, following menu specifications and recipes
  • Work closely with the Head Chef and kitchen team to ensure smooth operations during service
  • Train, supervise, and motivate junior kitchen staff, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment
  • Maintain impeccable standards of food quality, presentation, and hygiene, adhering to all health and safety regulations
  • Contribute creative ideas and insights to menu development and innovation
  • Monitor and manage inventory levels, assisting in stock rotation and ordering as needed
  • Take proactive measures to minimise food wastage and optimise kitchen efficiency

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Chef de Partie or in a similar role within a reputable restaurant or hotel
  • Culinary degree or equivalent qualification from a recognised institution
  • Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, ingredients, and kitchen operations
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment while maintaining composure and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team
  • Passion for culinary excellence and a commitment to delivering exceptional dining experiences
