What does a typical day to day look like
- Overseeing invoice handling from receipt through to payment, ensuring everything follows internal controls and procedures
- Managing regular and ad hoc payment runs, including transactions across different currencies
- Handling the accounts payable inbox, responding to enquiries and resolving issues efficiently
- Checking and approving employee expenses and company card submissions in line with policy
- Reconciling supplier statements and investigating any missing items or inconsistencies
- Working with colleagues and external suppliers to resolve account queries or discrepancies
- Completing routine financial checks and contributing to month-end close activities
- Producing reports to support accurate financial records, including creditor and goods received reports
- Reconciling ledger balances, including company credit card accounts
- Supporting general office operations such as greeting visitors and managing incoming mail when needed
- Assisting with finance projects and helping improve existing processes
