Job Title: Account Manager – Food and Drink Business

Location: Glasgow and Ayrshire, Scotland

About Us: Our client is a leading provider of high-quality dairy products, committed to sustainable practices and exceptional customer service. Our range includes fresh milk, cheese, butter, and yogurt, sourced from local farms dedicated to animal welfare and environmental stewardship.

Position Overview: Our client are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Account Manager to join their team, covering the Glasgow and Ayrshire regions. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining and expanding their customer base, ensuring  clients receive outstanding service and support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing customers, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the designated territory.
  • Provide expert advice on our product range, addressing customer inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
  • Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to develop strategies to increase market share.
  • Conduct regular site visits to customers, understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions.
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activities, providing feedback to management.
  • Prepare and deliver sales reports, forecasts, and presentations to senior management.
  • Attend industry events and trade shows to network and promote product.  

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in account management, preferably within the FMCG or food industry.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships.
  • Excellent sales and negotiation skills, with a track record of achieving targets.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently, managing your own schedule and priorities.
  • Knowledge of the Glasgow and Ayrshire regions is a plus.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite and CRM software.
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel extensively within the territory.
