Meet the Recruiter: Andrew Moore

 What made you want to join HRC Recruitment? Funnily enough, HRC placed me in the previous job before joining! The atmosphere from when I first came to the office was great and I just thought I’d love to work in a place like this in the future as everyone was lovely and seemed like a nice work environment. I also wanted a career that I could put my effort into and work with a passion. What career path did you follow before getting into recruitment? I studied marketing at college and ended up finishing with an HND, while at college I worked in retail with Debenhams for just over 4 years and then worked in Sales for Virgin Money before joining HRC. What was your dream job as a child? Initially Spiderman … but then I quickly realised that wasn’t possible and then I wanted to be a pilot. But during primary school, I found out I was colourblind, so that was that out the window. What’s been your biggest success so far? I’d usually say my biggest success is my HND in Marketing after leaving school with no Highers. Now, I would lean to what I managed to do during lock down. I started an online business providing sneaker cleaning services for people who are into shoes like myself. This kept me busy during lockdown when everything was shut and surprisingly it was successful, and I am quite proud of that! When we’re not in the middle of a pandemic, what do you like to do in your free time? I genuinely just enjoy going out and socialising as well as travelling when I can. What is most important to you? Being happy, whether that be within my role or outside of work, happiness is key. Describe yourself in three words. Caring. Curious. Chilled.
