Meet the Recruiter: Sarah Murray

Posted October 13 2021 By Sarah Murray
What made you want to join HRC Recruitment? I had been working in Healthcare recruitment in Glasgow for over five years and knew a couple of consultants that were doing really well at HRC.  HRC was always so visible and had a great brand so when they started their Healthcare division it sounded like too good an opportunity to miss. What career path did you follow before getting into recruitment? I did lots of temp work! Customer service, data entry … My first job in recruitment was actually as a temp admin assistant for an agency. Initially I was inputting temps reg forms, I’ve been in the industry ever since. What was your dream job as a child?  A vet, until I realised I’d be dealing with animals in pain. What’s been your biggest success so far? Passing my driving test. I’ve never felt more accomplished with myself than I did that day! The lead up to that was lots of hard work and focus and I get great satisfaction from seeing that come to fruition. I think that’s why I like recruitment so much – it’s hard work, but when it comes together there’s just nothing better. When we’re not in the middle of a pandemic, what do you like to do in your free time? Going to gigs. I love going out to see live music – I’ve really missed it over the last year so my night out diary is full for the foreseeable future!  I also have a lot of nieces and nephews, so being able to have big days out with them again has been lovely. MP_MTR Sarah MWhat is most important to you? Family and friends, the dogs, and just being able to live a happy, full, life. Describe yourself in three words. Nice, Thoughtful, Do-er. Now ask the last person you messaged to describe you in three words. Kind, Funny, Intelligent. Tell us a fun fact about yourself. I’m a god parent five times over.   Favourite film? The Dark Knight Rises Favourite singer / artist? The View Favourite book? Glue by Irvine Welsh Favourite colour? Green MP_MTR Sarah MSun or snow? Either – but nothing in between! Apple or android? Apple TikTok or Instagram? Neither Tea or coffee? Tea all day
