HR Consultancy are currently recruiting for a leading Airline company who are embarking on an exciting future with significant strategic plans and projects.  They are looking for a professional and pro-active Revenue Assistant to join as part of the finance team based in Paisley

The ideal candidate will be a self-starter who is passionate about delivering excellent and consistent service to key stakeholders. The role requires someone who is numerate, analytical, investigative and reliable and who has experience in revenue reporting, reconciliations, general ledger and billing.

RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ROLE:

Financial Control and Reporting

  • Review a company's financial transactions, sales contracts and business practices.
  • Providing guidance for improvement by identifying revenue control risk
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of their revenue control plans.
  • Analysts of quarterly and yearly revenue reports
  • Ensure company Revenue and Finance policies, procedures and forms are complied with and adhered to consistently throughout the company;
  • Identify and resolve areas of financial weakness in a timely manner
  • To complete the daily flight totals
  • Using the Movement reports and Kale reports, collate the figures expected to be billed, or  to raise invoices for all passenger taxes. Ensure full audit trail exists for auditing;
  • Ensure all paper tickets are received into the department and chase
  • Validate daily, queries from into our central email account and ensure each is actioned within defined SLA;
  • Validate daily internal queries from stakeholders into our central email account and ensure each is actioned timely;
  • To download and validate to Bank statements, reports to reconcile cash and card payments;
  • Chargeback / RFI control;
  • Refund Control;

Ad Hoc and Other

  • Represent finance in any revenue/commercial meetings and for any projects being carried out within commercial;
  • Ensure all financial and accounting records are thoroughly maintained and completed in preparation for independent audits;
  • Monitoring and evaluating financial information systems and suggesting improvements where needed;
  • Assist with projects in support of key corporate initiatives as defined by the Board

KEY SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

  • Airline or travel industry experience desirable
  • Excellent MS Excel skills
  • Experience working in a fast paced environment
  • Great communication skills
  • Previous experience within a similar role is essential.
