HR Consultancy are currently recruiting a Quality Manager for a growing organisation based on the outskirts of Glasgow

You will be responsible for developing and implementing the quality & compliance strategy and to drive a quality culture through the site.

Key skills required:

  • Previous experience within a Quality Manager role
  • Knowledge and experience of best in class quality techniques, processes and principles including Lean Six Sigma
  • Commercially aware with the ability to communicate effectively across all levels.
  • Detailed knowledge and understanding of GMP standards and food safety auditing processes.
  • Knowledge of the quality auditing and management processes. Proactive and enthusiastic – continuous improvement ethos
  • Effective communicator
  • Ideally, you will come from a food or drinks manufacturing background
  • Computer literate, good analytical skills, comfortable with numerical targets   

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Ensure Quality System Requirements are met throughout the company by ensuring relevant personnel carry out activities such as auditing, ensuring the site is audit ready everyday
  • Develop and implement a material verification process to ensure incoming materials & materials being used are within agreed specifications
  • Liaise with customer quality assurance personnel on all QA matters
  • Design and development of the QA System
  • Review Customer Specific Requirements ensuring these are met by the company
  • Communicate external audit findings and ensure all corrective actions are addressed
  • Liaise with suppliers on QA matters
  • Develop and implement a quality training and awareness program that educates the workforce on ‘quality excellence’
  • Ensure the product is legally compliant
