Well established and high-calibre Scottish legal firm (full service) are seeking a talented individual to contribute to their unique offering as a Professional Support Lawyer, as part of their dedicated and award-winning Property team.

This is an interesting and extremely rare opportunity which is ideally suited to a senior level candidate who has been a fee earner in the Scottish property market and has handled complex transactions at a higher level, and who would like to move into a consulting and training capacity.

This is a unique progression path which offers significant growth at a senior level and an opportunity to shape strategy, without having Partnership responsibilities.

You

  • Must be a qualified Scottish solicitor with previous or current experience in a fee earning position within Commercial Property
  • Commercially astute with a sound awareness and interest in the Property market in Scotland
  • Have a consultative approach, are naturally charismatic with outstanding interpersonal and communication skills

Your Role

  • Working closely with the Head of Property, responsible for delivering knowledge management and training at all levels within the department, ensuring that the team are kept up to date with legal and market developments, and advising on how to generate opportunities and solutions.
  • Undertaking tailored research; presenting at conferences, advising on law reform, writing blogs and articles.
  • Assisting in the creation and implementation of division wide training programs.
  • An extremely highly valued position proving technical excellence and market insights throughout all knowledge management aspects.
  • The team deals with a wide range of property types including commercial, residential, agricultural and forestry, hydro, minerals and wind farms.
