Job Title: Factory Manager – FMCG
Location: Inverclyde
Salary: Up to £70k

Are you who we’re looking for?

  • Proven experience as a Factory Manager or similar leadership role in an FMCG environment.
  • Strong knowledge of production management, lean manufacturing, and continuous improvement principles.
  • Exceptional leadership and communication skills with the ability to engage and motivate teams.
  • Experience with ERP/MRP systems and production planning software.
  • Solid understanding of health and safety regulations and quality control processes.
  • Results-driven, with a focus on process optimisation and cost reduction.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to make decisions quickly and under pressure.
  • A degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Business Management, or a related field (preferred).

What does the day-to-day look like?

  • Managing all production operations, including planning, scheduling, and execution, to meet production targets and delivery deadlines.
  • Overseeing quality control processes to ensure product consistency and compliance with industry standards.
  • Leading a team of production supervisors and staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and employee development.
  • Monitoring factory KPIs, driving performance improvements, and implementing cost-saving initiatives.
  • Ensuring adherence to health and safety protocols, creating a safe working environment for all employees.
  • Collaborating with supply chain, procurement, and engineering teams to optimise production processes and resource allocation.
  • Identifying and implementing lean manufacturing practices to streamline operations and enhance efficiency.
