HR Consultancy has an excellent opportunity for an experienced Maintenance Engineer with Electrical bias and experience of Facilities for our highly respected market leading client in the Lanarkshire area.


The main purpose of the role includes providing technical expertise to ensure maximum efficiency and performance from facilities and site services assets along with delivering the engineering strategy and ensuring compliance with all relevant H&S, BRC & ISO legislation


Key Responsibilities include:

  • Ensure compliance with relevant H&S, BRC, and ISO legislation during all work activities.
  • To provide technical support to ensure maximum efficiency from facilities and site services assets, ensuring planned and corrective maintenance tasks are completed as scheduled.
  • Manage contractors as and when required as per contractor management procedure.
  • Ensure maximum business benefit from all budget spend.
  • Build and maintain key relationships with stakeholders to ensure objectives and engineering strategy are delivered.
  • Provide a high level of customer service at all times.
  • To lead and support team based improvement projects.
  • Contributes appropriately to team meetings and supports the implementation of all team initiatives.


Required Qualifications, Skills and Experience



  • Qualified in a relevant engineering discipline (electrically biased)
  • Multi-skilled (qualifications in mechanical and electrical) with a knowledge of electronic / plc systems.



  • Minimum HNC qualified in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
  • Significant experience and knowledge of facilities and site services maintenance and knowledge of H&S Legislation. 


The position is Monday – Friday day shifts with no requirement to work any shift rotation with a basic salary on circa £37,000 


Initially offered on a 12-month fixed term contract, with the likelihood of becoming permanent following on from this contract period.
