Technical Claims Handler- Glasgow/Hybrid

A leading insurer is looking to add an Accident and Health Claims Handler to their established Glasgow team. On offer is the chance to work in a progressive and forward-thinking environment, allowing technical skills to be honed over time.
What will the day-to-day look like?
- Accurately assessing and evaluating complex claims, reserve calculations and settlement values
- Dealing with incoming call enquiries effectively
- Providing a professional service to customers
- Identifying complaints and recognise customer expressions of dissatisfaction
- Maintaining and developing technical knowledge and expertise
- Maintaining key client relationships with regard to specific customers and accounts, for issues such as: late notification of claims, case progress, and issuing specific insured requirements within SLAs
- Escalating relevant client issues to senior team members and management as required
What experience is needed?
- Claim handling experience, preferably from within a Broker or Insurance Office
- Customer services experience demonstrating a professional standard in customer care
- Experience of prioritising and working to SLAs
- Strong listening & communication skills
- A process-minded, adaptable and customer-focused attitude
