Are you an experienced Bookkeeper/Accounts Assistant that is looking to move into a new opportunity?
We are looking to speak with candidates experienced working in an Accountancy Firm that are experienced working on general bookkeeping duties, VAT returns and working with accountancy software packages.
You will be working as part of a small bookkeeping team of 4 with 1 supervisor. You will be working with a wide range of clients including: Charities, IT, Manufacturing, Renewables and Construction. This role would require some client facing work- dependent on your portfolio.
Hours of work are 9-5 (35 hour week) with a flexi-time policy in place.
Are you who we are looking for?
- You must have previous experience in an accountancy firm (essential)
- Be experienced in general bookkeeping and VAT returns (essential)
- Experience working with management accounts would be advantageous but not essential
- Knowledge of online accountancy software would be a strong bonus
- Be confident with good communication skills
- Have proven levels of accuracy and attention to detail
- Be able to work on own initiative
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Your main responsibilities would include:
- Providing an all-round bookkeeping service to a number of clients
- Bookkeeping and VAT compliance
- Management accounting
- Accounting support and advice
- Reconciliations
- Going to client offices on occasion to offer support face to face
- Online bookkeeping
