HRC Recruitment is currently recruiting for an experienced Audit Assistant Manager to join a successful and growing, large independent firm of Chartered Accountants based in Glasgow who are offering a competitive salary and excellent opportunities for career progression.
The role offers the opportunity to work with a varied portfolio of clients where you will be responsible for a range of accounting services.  Working with an established team, you will have full support and the opportunity to further develop your skills.
 
How your day to day will look:
  • Manage a portfolio of clients across a variety of industries
  • Ensure the planning, prioritising and allocation of all relevant client work ensuring effective team workflow
  • Formal line management - responsible for Audit & Assurance senior(s), assistant(s) and trainee(s)
  • Preparation and auditing statutory financial statements in line with UK GAAP
  • Assist in training and delegation of work with junior members of the team

Are you who we are looking for?

  • Relevant previous experience required within an audit team
  • Have relevant qualification (CA, ACCA) or qualified by experience
  • Effective team working skills
  • Effective planning and organising skills to ensure that the varied workload is managed effectively
  • Good communication skills and the ability to engage at all levels
  • Good client service skills
  • IT literate, good knowledge of Microsoft office, audit software, CCH experience is advantageous
  • Self motivated
