As a result of their sustained growth, they are seeking a self-motivated Assistant Accountant to join our Finance Team.
What you will bring:
- Timely processing of monthly payroll information for external bureau submission
- Handling payroll returns, including P11D and P60 data, and executing year-end tasks
- Execution of month-end financial accounting routines and corporate reporting schedules
- Monthly completion of balance sheet reconciliations
- Filing monthly VAT returns accurately and on time
- Weekly maintenance of trial balance
- Filing of government returns, such as those for the Office of National Statistics.
- Ensuring compliance with SOX regulations
- Offering ad-hoc support as needed and providing coverage for fellow team members within the Accounting team when necessary
What the role will look like:
- Maintain the company's purchase and sales ledgers
- Manage income and bank processes, including reconciling bank statements
- Assist in maintaining accounting systems and financial records
- Collaborate closely with the Finance & Operations team and other company departments
- Engage with suppliers, customers, venues, and auditors to support financial processes
- Conduct weekly payment runs for both domestic and foreign transactions
- Facilitate monthly intercompany netting and settlements
- Provide weekly cash flow forecasts to the central Treasury team
- Perform reconciliations for Intercompany and Bank accounts in multiple currencies
- Manage and process Accounts Payable invoices when necessary
- Oversee Fixed Asset management, including tagging and reconciliation processes
